I was 8 years old when I contracted “Miliaria Scarlatinosa”, a rare form of Scarlet Fever. Being a twin, and sharing a room, there was no choice but to
be quarantined from her and my siblings. I was scared and very lonely for almost 6 weeks. When my fever raged to 106 degrees, I could feel my Mother’s fear as I was placed in a bathtub of ice. Thus was the birth of my
compassion.
I never wanted her to worry or have that kind of fear again.
By age 16 I began studying Astrology and Metaphysics. By age 27, I was diagnosed with heavy metal poisoning. My holistic doctor recommended me to a well known healer who performed Polarity and Ortho-Bionomy. Together with the MariEL Method of Total Healing, an advanced Reiki energy, I amazingly and eventually cleared of these toxins.
Later in the year I was introduced to Ethyl Lombardi, who was a famous Reiki Master and Healer out of Chicago. She had developed this method due to her own near death experience following an illness. The term she was given to name this technique is a blend of the female and male energies perfectly combined, hence Mari EL. She was famous for accurately diagnosing the patients of the doctors who knew of her abilities, when they were stumped. The energy works through the Meridians of the body much in the way the acupuncture does, to release trapped, stagnant energy causing dis-ease in the body at the cellular level, while bringing up the root of the emotion(s) that is keeping us stuck or “trapped”.
The experience is gentle. It can harmonize and reorganize the subtle bodies within us on the mental, emotional, physical and/or spiritual bodies we inhabit within us.
During my attunements and study with Ethyl Lombardi I experienced personal energy shifts, and shifts and healing in other students as well.
From chronic asthma, to extreme pain, to cancers, to those who could barely walk, I was amazed and inspired. I was also humbled.
Upon arriving home, neighbors and friends were coming to see me. Not wanting any notoriety, I never advertised. I was also raising my young children. Through word of mouth, I had the privilege of serving others with ailments from Diabetes to Cancers, and those with addictions as well.
Eventually I met my Husband Richard. Through his profound knowledge of Astrology and Meditation blended with Eastern philosophy, I was able to develop a technique in which I incorporated the important aspects of his vast knowledge with the MariEL Reiki. I believe it is imperative to understand the metaphysical causation which underlies all illness and imbalances for a more lasting effect. Together, we give the recipient the tools that will empower them, so as not to draw back into them the patterns which caused dis-ease in the first place.
In 2008, quite unexpectedly, I was in an induced coma for one month, due to a virulent strain of bacteria. During that period, I had a near death experience which has had a profound impact on the way I view life.
I do believe in miracles, and I have even more compassion than ever for the suffering of any sentient being. I rarely see anyone for more than three sessions, either remotely or in person, unless someone is requesting “tune-ups” as I call them. I am no one special. I just live in service to others.
